Massachusetts Hunter Safety Course

This course is being offered in a format that blends online study and in-class instruction. For this course, students must first complete the online Massachusetts Hunter Safety Study Guide and then provide proof to register for the in-person Field Day to complete the course. For a detailed explanation of the Blended Format, visit Basic Hunter Education Blended Format

To register for this course -

1. First, complete the online Massachusetts Hunter Safety Study Guide at  Hunter Course

      • Each student will need to create their own study guide account using their legal name and their own email address.
      • The study guide performs best when accessed from a computer or laptop (not a smartphone or tablet).
      • Use the Course Outline button in the top, right corner to move past Chapter 1 and track your progress.
      • Plan ahead! You must complete all 16 chapters and pass all 16 quizzes with an 80% or better to be eligible to register for a Field Day. Most students need 6-8 hours to complete the entire study guide.

2. Next, visit Course Completion Verification to submit proof that you completed the online MA hunter safety study guide and choose a Field Day session to finish the course.

Minors can either bring a signed permission form (online at Minor Permission Form) to the in-person Field Day or a parent/guardian can accompany the child to class. Parents/guardians are invited to stay with their child during class if they wish.
