Our club is proud to sponsor a competitive youth shooting team called the Hot Shots. Kids from middle school through high school are welcome to join. Participants start with firearm safety then build skills alongside certified HotShots Coaches. The practices and competitions reinforce personal responsibility in a fun and nurturing team environment.

The HotShots offer two squads, and participants are welcome to join one or both.

• One squad participates in the nationally recognized Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP), a competitive shotgun program organized by the National Governing Body of the Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (SSSF). Young people participate in the fun and challenging sports of trap, skeet, and sporting clays.
• The second squad offers pistol and rifle shooting under the Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SASP). Participants will practice and compete in shooting pistol and/or rifle at steel plates.

Practices are typically held on Sundays. Competitions occur around Massachusetts and Rhode Island and are scheduled on weekends. Participation in competitions is not mandatory but encouraged.
