Fin, Fur, and Feather has a Youth Trap Program, the "Hot Shots", that participates in the nationally recognized Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP), a competitive shotgun program organized by the National Governing Body of the Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (SSSF). The program provides youth from middle school through high school with the opportunity to participate in the fun and challenging sports of Trap, Skeet and Sporting Clays.

To participate, either the shooter or their parent/guardian must have a Massachusetts Firearms Identification (FID) Card or License To Carry (LTC) to legally transport their firearms to/from the Club. For those not licensed or in the process of becoming licensed, the team has a limited number of shotguns available for use at the club and competitions.
